Bathinda, April 19
The local police have booked four persons for fraud of worth Rs 19 lakh. In a complaint lodged by one Hardeep Singh, a resident of Deep Singh Nagar, he stated that on November 21, 2014, the accused property dealers Pankaj Kumar and Pawan Kumar had called him to house number 314, Kamla Nehru Colony. After stating Pawan Kumar as its owner, a deal of the house at Rs 10 lakh was done and he paid Rs 10 lakh on the spot.
Later, the accused started demanding Rs 9 more stating that the house was owned by Surjeet Kaur and she was selling the house at Rs 20 lakh.
He stated that he gave them Rs 9 lakh more but after that they did not give them the procession of the house nor they are returning their money.
The police have booked all the accused at the Bathinda Sadar police station. — TNS
