Bollywood actress and big boss fame Gauhar Khan said she learned Punjabi especially to work in her first Punjabi movie “O Yaara Ainveyi Ainveyi Lut Gaya”.

Khan said her co-actor Jassi was my tutor and taught me certain chaste Punjabi words. Having Punjabi friends, I am familiar with the language, but I have to work on the fluency. In fact, I did a dubbing of the movie and everyone present there was shocked that I could lip sync so well.”

She is playing a role of Gunjan Kaur in her Punjabi debut, Khan’s character graduates from being a girlfriend to lover to wife. “The movie revolves around a conflict that is treated in a hilarious fashion,” she said, but she remained silent on the slapping incident (Khan was slapped on stage by a member of the audience during the finale of India’s Raw Star).

Gauhar Khan said, “Punjabi culture and hospitality has no match. Away from the busy and noisy city of Mumbai, shooting in Punjab was blissful. As far as the story is concerned, the audience will carry home a message full of love. The film would teach you how to oversee each other’s shortcomings while in a relationship.”

Singer-cum-Actor, Jassi Gill, said, “I think, I am fortunate to have worked in this film with such an amazing team. Our director taught us a lot while shooting and the co-actors supported every moment. Very few new-comers like me get a chance to work with known people at the early stage of their careers. About the film, I would say the script is the real protagonist and will bind each and every one with itself.”

Both Jassi Gill and Gauhar Khan, star cast of the upcoming Punjabi movie “O yaara Ainveyi Ainveyi Lut Gaya” was in the city for the promotion of the movie. The movie is yet to hit the cinemas on May 22.
