GKU inks pact with seed corporation

Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo inked an MoU with the National Seed Corporation New Delhi. Dr NS Malhi, Vice Chancellor signed the document on behalf of Guru Kashi University and VK Gaur, CMD, National Seed Corporation on behalf of National Seed Corporation.

Dr Malhi explained the background of understanding with the NSC and usefulness of this collaboration especially for practical training of the outgoing BSc (Agriculture) students.

He said this understanding would go a long way for skill development for agriculture graduates. GKU is the first university to sign an MoU with the NSC.

VK Gaur said the NSC would also impart training in Agriculture Engineering and vegetable and fruit sciences. Mr AK Gildyal, Deputy General Manager (Vigilance) and training National Seed Corporation and Deepak Rastogi, DGM (Agril Engg) were present on the occasion. — TNS
