Pushwinder Singh said, “The state government is not giving us the salary on a par with engineers employed by it in other departments. It is becoming difficult for us to work under these unpleasant circumstances and also because of staff shortage.” Chopra said, “The state government must address their long-pending demands at the earliest.”

Engineer Hakam Singh said, “We staged this protest on a call given by the state committee of the thermal power plant. The government should fulfil demands of the Thermal employees so that we could continue our work without any hesitation.”
