Bathinda, March 31
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bathinda Range, MF Farooqui organised a seminar — ‘Dil Ki Awaj Bhi Sun’ — for cops at the Police Lines here on Sunday.
At the seminar, around 250 police personnel from three districts — Bathinda, Mansa and Sri Muktsar Sahib — were present.
IGP Farooqui talked about the importance of health and fitness. He also distributed health cards among them.
Cops were provided with health booklets, which will have updates about their periodic check ups.
IGP said, “Annual check up of police personals is being conducted. But, it has been observed that there is no follow up for the ailment detected during annual check ups. So, we have come up with the health card scheme and periodic checking of the police personnel, who are ailing with some disease.
The IGP also directed the ailing police officials to purchase weighing machines and monitor their weight for the next 2-3 months.
