Irregularities in blue ration cards: SAD

Alleging irregularities in making blue ration cards, a SAD delegation headed by former MLA Sarup Chand Singla met Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan here on Saturday. At a meeting with the DC, the delegation alleged that blue ration cards have only been made for Congress workers.  

Singla said, “Government employees should initiate the work of making blue ration cards instead of Congress leaders. Owing  to the bypoll in Ward No. 30, no government work can be carried out. Despite that, Congress leaders are making blue ration card of their workers to influence the voters. It is a clear case of poll code violation.” The SAD also accused the ruling party of cancelling the blue cards of its workers belonging to BPL families using unfair means.— TNS
