The All-India Jatt Mahasabha today released the list of its office-bearers who were elected during a meeting today.
Apart from the existing 90 members in various Vidhan Sabha areas, a fresh list of 14 new members was released.
Stating this today, urban president of the sabha, Dharamjit Singh Dhillon, said the Malwa Zone president of PCC, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, former MLA Makhan Singh and Bhucho MLA Ajaib Singh Bhatti were among the others who participated in the meeting while proposing the name of these members.
While addressing the Sabha members and supporters, Kangar said efforts would be initiated to extend all possible help for highlighting the plight of the farmers of Punjab.
“The sabha proved instrumental in helping farmers whose actual demands are not even heard by the Punjab Government, what to talk of providing them relief from the agrarian crisis,” said Dharamjit Dhillon.
He said under the able guidance of former Chief Minister and Amritsar MP Captain Amarinder Singh, they would spearhead a campaign in favour of farmers.
The five Bathinda urban vice presidents elected are Swaran Singh Deol, Dyal Singh Aulakh, Hardev Singh Gill, Sukhdev Singh Sukha and MC Beant Singh Randhawa.
Three general secretaries are Preetam Singh Brar, Gurcharan Singh Baggar and Gurpinder Singh Sidhu. Two organisation secretaries are Hardeep Singh Fauji and Bhupinder Singh Jassi. The three secretaries are Gurwinder Singh Jodhpur, Gurcharan Singh Brar and Baldev Singh Saroa. Khushwant Singh Mann is elected as media secretary. Bathinda rural president Manjit Singh Budhladewala and Maur president Gurwinder Singh Ballo were among the others who were also present on the occasion.
