Bathinda, January 25
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) hosted A- Certificate examination of National Cadet Corps (NCC-2018) today, which was conducted by 20 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Bathinda, for all the school cadets enrolled with this unit.
Around 350 cadets (both boys and girls) from various colleges situated in Bathinda, Mansa, Budhladha, Malout and Barnala participated in this exam. They were evaluated under categories like general awareness and knowledge about armed forces through a written test, weapon training, map reading, drill test, field craft and battle craft.
Col SS Gill, Commanding Officer, and Lt Col Himmat Singh, administrative officer of 20 Punjab Battalion, were the presiding officers.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and Registrar Dr Jasbir S Hundal laid an emphasis on their commitment to continue their support for running and augmenting extra-curricular activities such as NCC, NSS, sports and cultural activities which play a great role in improving the student personality and overall development. — TNS
