Muktsar SDM gets additional charge

The Muktsar SDM, Rajpal Singh, a PCS officer, has been given the additional charge of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) (General). The additional charge has been given to him after the ADC (General), Dr Richa, an IAS, went on leave till March 1.

Speaking over the phone, Muktsar Deputy Commissioner MK Aravind Kumar, said, “The additional charge of the ADC (General) has been given to the Muktsar SDM. He will look after the routine works of the ADC office.”

Dr Richa had gone on leave on February 11 and public, especially those seeking some time-bound services, was facing problems.

Notably, Rajpal Singh has earlier too held the additional charge of the ADC (General), Muktsar. Last year, once the additional charge of ADC (General) was given to a non-PCS officer, it had, however, triggered a controversy.
