‘My son is innocent’

Bathinda, April 17

Father of Jatinder Singh Laddi, an inmate of the Bathinda jail, who has been booked under different Sections of the Indian Penal Code for violence on the premises, alleged that his son was being wrongly framed, at a press conference.

Ram Singh, a local resident, said, “My son had entered the scene of violence yesterday just for separating the two warring factions of the jail inmates following with Kulbir Naruana had fired shot. Laddi has no involvement with any of the two groups. Following the incident of firing, Gurdeep was injured. Laddi too had sustained minor injuries. The police have registered a case against Naruana, Amandeep, Fateh, Jatinder and Jaspinder Singh under various Sections. — TNS
