The second day of the District School Games began with Deputy Education Officer (Secondary) Bhupinder Kaur addressing the players and motivating them to inculcate team spirit and sportsmanship. She also wished them luck. She was accompanied by Assistant Education Officer (Sports) Gurpreet Singh, Karamjit Singh, Prem Kumar, Pradeep Kumar and principal of St Xaviers’ Convent School Father Eulalio Fernandes.
In the under-14 boys (football), Bhagta beat Goniana, Bathinda 1 Talwandi Sabo and Sangat Mandi Kalan. In under-19 boys (handball), Bathinda 2 beat Talwandi Sabo and Bathinda 1 beat Bhucho Mandi. In under-17 boys (handball), Talwandi Sabo beat Bathinda 2. In under-17 boys (netball), Bathinda zone 1 bagged the first position while the second position went to Sangat Mandi.
Bathinda zone 1 also bagged the first position in under-14 boys netball while the second place went to Goniana Mandi. Bathinda zone 1 team also came up trumps in the under-19 boys (netball) while the second position went to Sangat mandi zone.
In the under-17 girls (netball), Sangat beat Bathinda zone 1 and Bathinda zone 1 beat Mandi Kalan. In the under-14 girls (netball), Bathinda 2 beat Mandi Kalan. In the under-14 girls national style kabaddi competitions, Maur Mandi beat Mandi Phul, Bhagta Goniana and Maur Mandi beat Talwandi Sabo. In the under-17 girls national style kabaddi, Maur Mandi beat Bhucho mandi, Bhagta beat Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda 1 beat Talwandi Sabo and Mandi Kalan beat Mandi Phul.
In under 14 girls basketball final round, Bathinda 2 bagged the first place while the second place went to Mandi Kalan. In under-17 boys basketball Bathinda 1 beat Mandi Kalan. In under 17 girls gatka competition, Maur Mandi beat Goniana and Mandi Kalan beat Sangat.
In the under-14 boys tug-of-war competition, Bhagta, Mandi Kalan and Talwandi Sabo bagged the first, second and third positions, respectively. In the under-17 boys tug-of-war, Sangat, Bhagta and Mandi Kalan bagged the first, second and third positions, respectively. In the under-19 boys tug-of-war, Goniana Mandi, Talwandi Sabo and Maur Mandi bagged the first, second and third positions, respectively.
In the under-17 girls member fencing, Bathinda 1 beat Goniana to bag the first place. In the under-17 girls dual fencing also, Bathinda 1 beat Goniana to bag the first place. In the under-19 girls throwbal competitions, Bathinda 2 beat Maur Mandi to bag the first position. In the under 19 boys throwball, Bathinda 2 beat Talwandi Sabo to bag the first position.
In the under 17 girls throwball competition, Talwandi Sabo beat Bathinda 2 to bag the second position.
