Jaito MLA cycles his way to file papers

Faridkot, April 25

Master Baldev Singh, AAP MLA from Jaito, filed his nomination papers as Punjab Ekta Party candidate from Faridkot Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday. To file his nomination papers, he reached the office of the Returning Officer riding a bicycle. Some of his supporters also followed him on their bicycles.

Swaran Singh of Apna Samaj Party also filed his nomination papers from Faridkot seat on Thursday. Samiksha, a resident of Moga, filed her papers as the covering candidate for Swaran Singh.

Six candidates, including one of Congress party and two Independents, have filed their nominations from the Faridkot seat so far, said Kumar Saurav Raj, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electorate Officer, Faridkot.
