Night cricket tournament kicks off at Teshwar Sports Academy

A limited overs night cricket tournament kicked off at Teshwar Sports Academy (TSA) with much fanfare in the city. Four cheerleaders from Russia were the centre of attraction at the inaugural match.
As many as 21 teams are participating in the tournament that will go on for three months. A match was played between the DCB Bank team and Preet Jewellers last night. DCB Bank won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Preet Jewellers scored 176 runs in 26 overs. Harry Sandhu scored a quickfire 36 runs in 12 balls while Ladda scored 58 runs. Dharma of DCB Bank team took four wickets.
Chasing the target, the DCB team were all out for 121 runs. Sajan took five wickets while Harry Sandhu took three.
