Bathinda, May 2
The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Randeep Kumar has again issued non-bailable warrant against Renu Bala, president of Gurukul College, Bathinda, being run by the Guru Valabh Educational Welfare Society.
The warrant is issued after a complaint in this regard was filed by the owner of Bansal and Sons, a cement and iron store, opposite the local Grain Market.
The complainant said the accused had purchased building material of Rs 4,63,753 for which the college president and managing director of the society Bhushan Kumar Goyal jointly issued a cheque of Rs 3 lakh on August 6 last year.
The cheque, however, got dishonoured due to insufficient funds in the bank account of the president and the managing director. A legal notice was issued to the accused but they refused to pay the due amount.
Earlier also, the court issued non-bailable warrant against Bhushan but he got respite after he surrendered in the court and furnished bail bonds of Rs 30,000. Now, the court has issued fresh non-bailable warrant against Renu Bala.
