Personality development camp concludes with cultural events

Gurukul College today organised a function on the last day of the personality development camp at the college. Surjeet Singh Sidhu, principal Gurukul College, Mahar, Moga, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Satpal Singh Sidhu, former SSP, and many other prominent persons of the region inaugurated the function by lighting lamps.

Students of the college presented a cultural programme. Songs, poems, debates, solo dance and break dance cheered up the audience.

Arshdeep Singh and Attinder Singh secured the first place by giving a heart winning performance in dance. Lovedeep Kaur won the first position in the debate competition, Amuneet Kaur won the first position in the poem recitation competition and Reena Kaur won the first position in the dance competition.

Bhushan Kumar Goyal (MD) acquainted the audience with the activities of the summer camp and said the main goal of the camp was to develop the overall personality of students in order to help them in getting jobs.

He said the relaxation of 50 per cent fee for poor girls in some courses would help them in making their career and they would inspire others in future. Principal Dr Shardev Singh Gill said in the new session of Gurukul College, a new AC library, AC computer lab and AC fashion designing lab were ready for the students.

He said in this year, he also wanted to organise a youth festival at the college for which he was putting in hard efforts.

He expressed his happiness on the enthusiasm of students over admission to Gurukul College.

Chief guest Surjeet Singh Sidhu shared his views about education and also distributed the certificates among students of the camp.
