Punjabis are known for their robust appetite and love for tandoori food in the world.
Now, food lovers can look forward to the tandoori cuisine in the city. They can enjoy authentic global tandoori food at Platters resto-bar situated on the 100-ft road.
The décor here too needs a special mention that Platters resto-bar is the place where food lovers can enjoy sizzling global cuisine in dim light and with music playing in the background.
The USP of the food is the authentic taste of the global tandoori cuisine. Foodies can try here grilled chicken, in which herbal chicken fillet marinated in European sauce is served with grilled vegetables. Even grilled fillet of fish is marinated with mild herbs and served with mashed potatoes and is a flavourful and healthy item.
Another item which is worth a try here is Hungarian Chicken. In this, grilled chicken fillet is cooked in brown sauce and served on rice bed with grilled vegetables.
Taiwanese garlic chicken, in which garlic chicken cubes are tossed in sauces of Taiwanese style and Baghdadi chicken, in which boneless chicken is toasted with spinach, yellow egg and ring onion in spicy sauce. Both these dishes are popular.
Murgh Tikka Dakhni Mirch is one of the other finest dishes which can be enjoyed here. In this, boneless chicken pieces are marinated with the cream and spices with the flavour of white pepper. Kung Pao chicken is the item in which chicken and bell peppers are cooked in Chinese oyster sauce. It is also a yummy delicacy served here.
Vegetarians don’t get upset as they also have a lot to offer from it as well as Multani paneer tikka, in which cottage cheese stuffed tikka with marination of light spices, is an item to try here.
Another vegetarian item worth having here is Thai vegetable spring rolls. In this, dish wrapped rolled with finely chopped vegetables tossed in Thai dipping sauce and Korean vegetable balls dry in this vegetables are tossed in tomato and red chlili sauce. Executive chef at Platter Resto-bar Bijender Negi said the main USP was the authentic taste of the cuisine. “We worked and served Russian army, Chinese army and US army during their joint exercise in India. So we know the exact authentic taste of their cuisines, which we serve in our restaurant as well,” he said.
Jay Kumar, manager of Platters, said sometimes people want an alteration in the global authentic cuisines as per their taste and we do it as per their liking. Mostly people demand tandoori global cuisine here as it had spicy flavour in it, which Punjabis like, he added.
Bikram, owner of the resto-bar, said it was the first family resto-bar in the city. He said we started this concept with a motive to change the mindset of the people in the city and now we have succeeded in it. He said now people are showing interest in global cuisines and we are planning to renovating and adding more global cuisines into our menu.
