BATHINDA: The SDM-cum-Returning Officer for the Bathinda (Urban) constituency today directed the political parties to desist from luring voters by filling forms for jobs and mobile phones for the time being.

The SDM-cum-Returning Officer for the Bathinda (Urban) constituency today directed the political parties to desist from luring voters by filling forms for jobs and mobile phones for the time being.

SDM-cum-RO Sakshi Sawhney said in view of the complaints in this regard, the political parties have been told to discontinue this practice.

“The matter is already in the notice of senior officials of the Election Commission. Things would be decided only after getting clear directions from the higher-ups,” she said. — TNS
