A five-day science internship camp, INSPIRE- Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research, would be organised at Baba Farid College from December 25 to 29.
The event is aimed at attracting and retaining a large number of students in basic sciences and promoting research and innovation.
In the inaugural ceremony of the camp, Chander Mohan, chair professor, JNU, New Delhi, will be the chief guest while Santosh Kumar, professor from Kumoun University, Nainital, will be the guest of honour.
Science students from different schools of the region who secured more than or 88.1 per cent in the PSEB, 95 per cent (CGPA –A1) in the CBSE and 96.8 per cent in the ICSE Class 10th examination will be benefited through this camp.
The camp is for bright young students and is intended to expose them to the excitement and methods of science, research and innovation, just prior to the time when they make their career decisions.
