Seven ‘Saroops’ of Guru Granth Sahib were burnt due to a short circuit in a heater at Gurdwara Sahibzade Ajit Singh Ji situated at the Ajit Road area here last night.
Takht Shri Damdama Sahib Dharam Parchar Committee and the Panj Pyaras reached here to investigate the matter.
Dharam Parchar Committee’s Dilbagh Singh said after the investigation, whoever is found responsible, would have to do the work assigned to him in the Gurdwara as a punishment.
As per information, after getting the information about the incident, Takht Shri Damdama Sahib jathedar Giani Gurmukh Singh sent the Dharam Parchar Committee in-charge Dilbagh Singh and Panj Pyaras to probe the matter. Later, even Gurmukh Singh himself reached the spot.
