Second Khatri Sabha body registers within two weeks

Only two weeks after the Khatri Sabha held its state-level conference in Bathinda, another body of Khatri Sabha registered today and conducted its elections at Teachers’ Home here. They elected their body unanimously.
The office-bearers of the body are Mahinder Kumar Ghai, president, Jagdish Singh Ghai, chairman, Ishar Dyal Verma, senior vice-president, Rakesh Kumar, Satish Kumar Ghai, Surjit Singh Mokha, Ashwini Banti and Surinder pal as vice-presidents. Baldev Singh Uppal was elected general secretary of Sabha. Ravinder Nanchahel, Madan Lal Mehta, Boote Shah Wdhawan, Pawan Kumar Chopra, Kulbir Singh Duggal and Ravi Puri elected as secretary, Harjagdish Singh Sodhi as finance secretary, Prince Puri as auditor, Lecturer Jaspal Jassi as press secretary, Advocate Gurdev Singh Sodhi and Advocate Gurmeet Singh Sodhi as legal advisor and YR Handa as chief advisor to the newly elected body.
However, the other unit was also quick to release the press statement with old pictures of meeting held on May 8 and claimed that their body is non-political.
