SSD Girls’ College celebrates Hindi Diwas

SSD Girls College orgainsed a function to celebrate Hindi Diwas on the campus.

Dr Parminder Kaur and Dr Suman Bawa, head of the Hindi department, presided over the function.

Competitions of Hindi slogan writing and poem recitation were organised to promote the language among students.

While addressing the students and teachers, Dr Suman laid the stress on the need for the promotion of the language at the international leval.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
