Bathinda, December 7
The handball team of St Joseph’s Convent School, Bathinda, has brought laurels to the school by winning a bronze medal in the Under-19 CBSE national school games, which were held at Dehradun Public School, Ghaziabad.
The St Joseph’s Convent School defeated the host school team 14-1 in a one-sided contest and won a bronze medal. Navkirat Daula was selected as the best goalkeeper at the national level.
Coach Chamkaur Singh said DP Navtej Singh and principal Helen D’Costa had played a big role in this achievement and the hard work put in by the team had been instrumental in their success. — TNS
