The Zoology department of Government Rajindra College today organised a poster-making competition under the guidance of Prof Paramdeep Kaur. The theme of the poster-making competition was female foeticide.

Addressing the participants, Prof Kaur stated that girls were walking abreast of boys in all the fields now and it was a shame that they were still being considered inferior in comparison to the boys by several sections of society. Dr Ramesh Chander Pasrija added that parents indulge in female feoticide despite the fact that grown up girls become the greatest support of their parents.
