SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday criticised Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for discontinuing some of the pro-poor schemes introduced by the SAD-BJP government and for the inflated power bills.

While campaigning in favour of his wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who is also SAD candidate from Bathinda Lok Sabha seat, he said, “Congress government is doing nothing. We fulfilled almost everything we promised. You have seen the functioning of Badal Sahib as Chief Minister. He ensured pukka streets in your villages, built beautiful roads and solved the problem of waterlogging as well. Now, if you will vote for us, Amarinder won’t be able to complete his remaining tenure as the CM.”

He was accompanied by his son Anantveer Singh during the campaign.

He further promised to the voters that after forming the state government in 2022, he would construct ‘pakka’ houses for all poor people and no one would be left out.

He also appealed them to wipe out Congress and AAP from Lambi.

Sukhbir further attacked Congress candidate from Bathinda constituency Amrinder Singh Raja Warring by saying, “He says that he would make such beautiful crematoriums that elderly people would wish to die. Earlier, he gave statement that he would send four Innova cars for the weddings of poor people. People like him come and go. They are seen only during elections.”
