WhatsApp No. for MC complaints

Bathinda: The Municipal Corporation of Bathinda (MCB) has released WhatsApp number 98145-18310 to deal complaints and problems faced by residents. A resident can send his/her problem on this number and it will be resolved at the earliest. Even the complaint would also get a reply. On the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Rishi Pal Singh, the Whatsapp number of superintendent Makhan Lal has been issued to deal with residents’ woes directly. He will also ensure that problems are resolved at the earliest. TNS

Man electrocuted, employer booked

Bathinda: The Kotfatta police on Wednesday booked a factory owner under Section 304-A of the IPC after an electrician was electrocuted on Tuesday. A case has been registered on the complaint of another electrician Sachin Kumar, a resident of Chandigarh, against Raj Kumar, a resident of Jaito in Faridkot district. The deceased has been identified as Madho Singh, a resident of Mohali. According to Sachin, they were working at Alija Power Solar Factory, situated at Growth Centre, Mansa road, for the past seven days. Both have told owner Raj Kumar to replace the open wire, but he didn’t do it, due to which Madho Singh was electrocuted. He was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead. Investigating officer Jasveer Singh said a case was registered against factory owner and soon he would be held. TNS
