Bomb scare at Jolly Grant, Delhi flight grounded

A Jet Airways flight was stopped minutes before taking off from the Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, following a hoax bomb scare created by an anonymous caller.
All 148 passengers and eight crew members were deplaned from the aircraft scheduled to leave for New Delhi at 4:45 pm.
A bomb disposal squad, fire engines and additional police force from neighbouring police stations led by SP, Rural, TD Bela, immediately rushed to the airport to ensure full proof security.
SSP Sadanand Datte said the investigating agencies did not find any bomb or explosives on the airplane. Meanwhile, security was stepped up in and around the airport.
Police sources claimed that the call was made from Chandigarh and a team would be sent to the Union Territory soon to arrest the accused.
The Delhi-Dehradun Jet Airways plane landed at the Jolly Grant airport at 3:30 pm and was scheduled to fly back to New Delhi at 4:45 pm.
The security agencies immediately took the airplane to an isolated runway for search after the ATC received a hoax bomb call around 4 pm. A final clearance for the flight was awaited.
