After talks between brick-kiln workers and owners remained inconclusive, workers took out a protest march from the district administrative complex to Mahavir Chowk in Sangrur on Thursday.

Their demands include proper implementation of labour laws at brick-kilns, attendance of workers on registers, implementation of provident fund scheme, payment of arrears of the provident fund and wages as more than Rs 629 for moulding 1,000 bricks.  TNS
