The Border Security Force has dedicated seven roads, one each, to its brave soldiers who had made sacrifices for the nation in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and later during anti-militancy ambushes in Assam and Jammu and Kashmir.
The stones of the roads were unveiled by the families of martyrs Pratap Singh, Surjit Singh, Iqbal Singh, Jaswant Singh, Shamsher Singh, Harnek Singh and Vijay Kumar in the BSF Sector headquarters here today.
BSF Deputy Inspector General Eapen PV, Commandants MP Singh and Mohinder Saharan and Chief Medical officer Dr Khurshid Alam were present along with other ranks to welcome the families which, they said, would be remembered on solemn occasions and would be provided all possible assistance.
