10 arrested for misuse of LoUs at PNB

The CBI has arrested 10 persons for alleged misuse of Lettter of Undertakings (LoU) worth over Rs 9 crore in the PNB’s Brady House branch, Mumbai, which happened to be the fountainhead of $2-billion scam involving billionaires Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi, officials in the agency confirmed today.

In March, the agency had filed a case pertaining to “fraudulent” issuance of LoUs amounting to Rs 9 crore to Chandri Papers and Allied Products by the PNB’s Brady House branch, they said.
