Jalandhar-based Capitol Hospital has been ranked number one in Punjab in coronary intervention data for the year 2018 by the National Interventional Council. The data has been represented by Dr A Sreenivas Kumar, chairman and chief cardiologist, Citizens Hospitals, Hyderabad. The data was collected from 709 cardiac centres across the country. The National Interventional Council is the interventional faction of the Cardiological Society of India, representing over 3,000 interventional cardiologists.

Hayr to roll out self-drive car share service in Chandigarh

Chandigarh is set to become the country’s first city with free float self-drive car share service. Tech startup ‘Hayr Technology’ — a Chandigarh-based company will launch the concept of free-float service in Chandigarh on April 17. The unique concept of free-float refers to pick up and drop off vehicle anywhere within a designated parking area. The ease to reserve the available car instantly makes car sharing attractive. BSNL Enterprise Business records Rs 6,500-cr revenue

BSNL Enterprise Business has scaled new peaks by booking business of around Rs 6,500 crore during FY 2018-19. In the Punjab circle, 3,138 lease circuits were commissioned and enterprise business of Rs 94 crore was achieved during 2018-19.

Chandigarh dips in fitness quotient: Reebok survey

Reebok’s Fit India Survey reveals that Chandigarh has taken a hit on the fitness quotient from second position to fourth with a Fitscore of 6.60 in 2019 as compared to 7.35 in 2017. Reebok has mapped the fitness habits in the age group of 18-35 years. Chandigarh ranks fourth fittest city in the country after Kolkata with a score of 9, Delhi (7.99) and Mumbai (7.64).

Nawanshahar receives ‘Swachh City Award’ 

Nawanshahar has bagged “Swachh City Award” from the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for being the first cleanest city in North Zone in the below 1 lakh population category. Vinay Bublani, Deputy Commissioner, Nawanshahar, received the award at a function held in New Delhi. He said the award had been accorded to the city on the basis of ‘Swachh Survekshan-2019’ carried out under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). He said the city has also been declared ‘garbage-free’ city.
