New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is set to bring in all-new Dzire next month, the entry-level sedan, which when launched almost nine years ago became a game changer for the industry and the company. Over the years, Dzire has remained the most-trusted car in the entry-level sedan segment with over 50% market share and remains the second best seller in the country after Alto. In 2012, the company brought out a shortened model of Dzire to take advantage of the excise rules, forcing other manufacturers to follow the suit. And despite the entry of some other models in the segment, Dzire’s position in the segment remained stagnant. Maruti Suzuki has sold over 13.81 lakh units of Dzire so far. The Swift Dzire has been India’s best-selling sedan for the past three years. TNS
