Chandigarh University, Gharuan, has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Chandigarh University, Gharuan, has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Established in 2012, it has become the youngest university of the country to be assessed and accredited by the NAAC and granted A+ grade. 

CGC, Jhanjeri, celebrates Engineers Day with fervour

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, recently celebrated Engineers Day in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir Vishwasaraya, the greatest engineer of India. The main events comprised Hackathon, B-Plan, Project Display, Drone Race, Auto Expo etc. Various other technical events such as Quizopuzzle, Technobuzz, Cad-Craft, Robo War and workshops were also conducted on the occasion.

The company officials talked about the current status of the real estate sector and also came forth with the benefits of investing with the Group. The company said Himachal Pradesh is one of the major contributors in the real estate development of the tricity and the state has contributed 32% to their sales in Q2 of the current year.

Thapar Institute, Patiala, ranked 10th by Times 

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala, has been ranked 10th by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. TIET is in the 601-800 bracket among the 1,396 institutions ranked worldwide and joint 10th along with 13 other institutes in India. Six IITs and eight other public institutions appear in the same bracket with TIET, Patiala.

British Council holds training workshop in Jalandhar

British Council has partnered with the Punjab government to strengthen training and engagement of apprentices in the state. It recently organised a workshop at Jalandhar in partnership with CII. It was aimed at ensuring the employers are updated with latest policy amendments to understand the specific needs of stakeholders and share experiences to come up with workable solutions. It was attended by employees from small, medium and large-scale organisations and representatives of local industry associations from Jalandhar and neighbouring districts.

Flipkart partners with 10,000 general trade stores

Flipkart has introduced ‘Flipkart Authorised BuyZone’ — a programme to help millions of new shoppers from metro cities, tier-II and III towns. It has partnered with close to 10,000 general trade stores in almost 700 cities, across 20 states in India. It has announced Big Billion Days from September 29 to October 4.

22,040 cases resolved at National Lok Adalat 

Under the guidance of Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and executive chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat was organised throughout the state of Punjab on September 14. As many as 271 Benches were constituted and 22,040 cases were resolved amicably.
