NMDC bags Certificate of Distinction for CSR activities
As part of its corporate social responsibility, NMDC participated in an exercise conducted by the Economic Times and was awarded a Certificate of Distinction for the pillars of "corporate governance, stakeholders engagement, monitoring and evaluation". P Shyam, DGM (IE) CSR and P Jaya Prakash, DGM (CC) received the certificate from Jaco Cilliers, Country Director, UN Development Program and Akhil Bansal, Deputy CEO, KPMG India, at a function held in New Delhi on July 25.
Kalyan Jewellers announces global annual sale
Kalyan Jewellers announced its much-awaited global annual sale on July 27 across all its showrooms. The 10-day sale period is expected to be the biggest shopping days of this calendar year, and will feature special cash discounts on jewellery purchase as well as offers to win gold and silver coins. Cash discounts are applicable for every purchase above Rs 5,000. For purchases above Rs 25,000, customers will be eligible to win gold and silver coins through scratch and win coupons in select markets. Demand for flats up after GST, RERA rollout, says expert
Harish Gupta, president, Builders Association, Zirakpur, and managing director of Trishla Buildtech, has said the demand for flats has increased after the implementation of GST and RERA. He said there is no GST on ready to move in flats and under-construction flats have also become cheaper due to input claim provision provided to builders.

CISF organises cycle rally for Swachh Bharat Mission
The CISF organised a mega cycle rally to promote and sensitise about the Swachh Bharat Mission in the Indirapuram area of Delhi NCR on July 29. The cycle rally was followed by a run and walk. Around 800 cyclists participated in the rally and 200 people took part in the run. The mega rally was flagged off by OP Singh, DG, CISF, from CISF 5th Reserve Battalion, Ghaziabad.

Union Fertiliser Minister visits NFL’s Panipat unit
Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilisers, Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Mansukh L Mandaviya visited the Panipat unit of National Fertilizers Limited on July 23. The minister visited urea, ammonia, bagging plants and the site of upcoming bentonite sulphur plant at and met senior officials. GAIL provides 2,400 dustbins to Chandigarh Municipal Corpn
