NTPC organises ‘Medha Pratiyogita’ at Dadri

To inculcate the habit of learning and quizzing, NTPC recently organised regional round of ‘Medha Pratiyogita’ (DBF & Hydro Region) at NTPC, Dadri. Vinod Choudhary, RED (Hydro & DBF), inaugurated the competition. Apurba Kumar Das, CGM (Dadri), GC Surdeo, GM (HR), DBF & Hydro HQ and senior officials from DBF HQ & Dadri, participants from various locations of DBF & Hydro Region, employees along with their family members were present.

Capitol Hospital empanelled for Ayushman Bharat

Capitol Hospital, Jalandhar, is now empanelled for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat). Under the scheme, the government provides financial protection to deprived rural families and identified occupational categories of urban workers’ families as per the latest Socio-Economic Caste Census data. It will have a cover of Rs 500,000 per family per year (on a family floater basis).

TOLIC-2 (Delhi) organises All India Hindi Conference 

Dr M Ravi Kanth, CMD, HUDCO and chairman, Town Official Language Implementation Committee TOLIC-2 (Delhi), inaugurated a two-day ‘All India Hindi Conference’ in New Delhi recently. Recalling the role played by Hindi language during the freedom struggle, he urged the member organisations to increase the use of official language on regular basis. The conference was attended by 350 participants from 49 CPSEs.

Town hall meeting for MSMEs in Amritsar

The Financial Inclusion and Development Department of RBI, Chandigarh, recently organised a town hall meeting for MSMEs in Amritsar. The meeting was chaired by Anil K Sharma, executive director, RBI. Rachna Dikshit, regional director (Punjab, Haryana & UT Chandigarh), RBI, Chandigarh along with Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar and other senior officers were present on the occasion. 

NFL wins Best Fertilizer PSU Award for 2nd year in row

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has received Best Fertilizer PSU Award during Dun & Bradstreet PSU Awards 2019. This is the 2nd time in a row that the company has received this award. Manoj Mishra, chairman and managing director, NFL, received the award from Arvind Ganpat Sawant, Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprise at a function held in Delhi recently.

UCO Bank conducts bankers’ meet at Zonal Office, Haryana

UCO Bank recently organised a campaign for generation of ideas and consultation till branch level at Zonal Office, Haryana. The primary objective of the meeting was to align banking with national priorities, stimulating ideas and inculcating a sense of involvement among bankers down to the branch level. Jayant Kumar Biswas, DGM, RTC Chandigarh, and Inder Singh Tulsi, DGM & Zonal Head, Haryana Zone, were present.

NFL, Nangal, holds free medical check-up camp

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Nangal Unit, recently organised a free medical camp at Govt Primary School, Mojowal, to commemorate its 46th foundation Day. Sanjeev Mehta, chief general manager, Nangal Unit, inaugurated the camp. Around 200 people from Mojowal, Chuttewal and Bella Dhyani villages and schoold students were examined during the camp. A team of doctors from NFL Hospital conducted the camp.

Jaypee University of Information Technology of Information Technology, Solan, recently organised ‘Diksha 2019’ — a freshers’ night to welcome new students to the university. Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Vinod Kumar, director and academic head Prof (Dr) Samir Dev Gupta, Registrar Maj Gen (retd) Rakesh Bassi, were among those present on the occasion. 

PNB organises pan-India consultative process

Punjab National Bank recently organised a pan-India consultative process from the branch level onwards. This involved regional-level group consultations involving all branches within that particular region. The consultations covered themes, including increasing digital payments, corporate governance in PSBs, credit for MSMEs, use of technology in PSBs, retail lending, agricultural credit and export credit among others. 

CT varsity develops prosthesis hand using 3D printing tech

Under the recently inaugurated Robotics and Automation Lab, the students and faculty of CT University have come up with another successful project ‘Prosthesis Hand’. The students behind this successful project are Batina Jennifer and Christamber True Man from Robotics and Automation and KA Umar Ali Bilal (a B Tech student). The whole hand was 3D printed using “Creality Ender 3” printer using PLA filament as material. 

Narayana Hospital holds CME at Amritsar

DGCA ranks GoAir No. 1 in on-time-performance

GoAir has once again achieved the highest on-time-performance (OTP) among the scheduled domestic carriers for the 11th consecutive month in July. As per data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, GoAir posted 80.5% OTP, the highest among scheduled domestic airlines.

SGPC, Kalgidhar Trust to hold religious samagam

The SGPC and Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, will jointly organise a religious samagam from September 16 to October 16 at Sultanpur Lodhi to mark Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 550th birth anniversary. Kaka Navinderpreet Singh Longowal, son of Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, president, SGPC, recently visited Gurdwara Baru Sahib and held talks with officials of the Trust. Bhai Jagjit Singh, volunteer, Kalgidhar Trust, said 550 volunteers from Baru Sahib will take  part in the event and students from different academies of the trust will perform katha and kirtan.

Vegantique Super Foods unveils almond beverage
