Chandigarh: Sanjay Kumar has taken over as General Manager (Network-I), State Bank of India (Chandigarh Circle). The Network-I comprises state of Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. He started his career as a probationary officer in 1985 and has held important assignments in various capacities in Credit, International Banking, Agriculture, Human Resources, Lead Bank etc. He has also handled SBI operations in Shanghai. tns

Moody’s retains India GDP forecast at 7.5%

Moody’s on Thursday retained India’s growth forecast at 7.5% for 2016 but revised upwards estimates for China to 6.6% citing strong fiscal and monetary support. It said the outlook for emerging markets economies has stabilised but outlined the policy changes post the US presidential election in November as the most immediate downside risks to the global economic outlook. RBL Bank’s IPO to hit markets today
