Jabalpur (MP): An Army havildar attempted to create a world record by standing on an 11-feet ladder atop a moving motorcycle for more than four hours, covering a distance of 128 km here on Friday. The attempt is yet to be registered in record books. Havildar Sangram Keshari Jena (33) made the attempt at Head Quarters 1 Signal Training Centre in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur city. PTI

Mulling pan-India single pay day: Gangwar

New Delhi: To safeguard the interests of workers in the formal sector, particularly the working class, the Centre is planning to introduce ‘one nation, one pay day’, Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar said on Friday. “There should be a single wage day every month across various sectors to ensure that workers get timely salaries," he said at ‘Security Leadership Summit 2019’ here. pti

Hotel charges composer Rs 1,672 for 3 eggs 

Ahmedabad: Music composer Shekhar Ravjiani of the famous Vishal-Shekhar duo on Friday took to Twitter, claiming that a luxury hotel charged him an “eggxorbitant” Rs 1,672 for three boiled eggs. It reminded many Twitter users of a similar protest by Rahul Bose who had to pay Rs 442 for two bananas in Chandigarh months ago. The Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad, however, did not comment. PTI
