“The Chandigarh-Manali Highway between Mandi and Kullu via Dwada can be opened to traffic once the water level in the Beas goes down further,” Mandi SP Gurdev Chand Sharma said. Meanwhile, Light vehicles are being diverted via Kataula between Mandi and Kullu, he added.

Authorities have diverted traffic through Kataula, but this road is open only to light vehicles. Authorities say the road is unfit for use by heavy motor vehicles.
