1,231 appear for 140 seats at Indo-Swiss Training Centre
Chandigarh, July 9
As many as 1,231 candidates appeared in the entrance test for admission to 140 seats in the Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC) that was held here today.
A part of the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, the ISTC offers diploma courses in mechanical engineering (tool and die) and in electronics, with an intake of 54 in each course, advanced diploma courses in die and mould making and mechatronics and industrial automation with an intake of 16 in each course. The alumni of this institute are also entrepreneurs manufacturing critical components and systems for application in defence and aerospace Industries for domestic use and export. —TNS
