Chandigarh, August 8
Sixteen units from various arms and services under the operational jurisdiction of the Western Command were awarded the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief’s (GOC-in-C) citation for their professional excellence and outstanding performance in various fields during the past year.
The Commanding Officers and Subedar Majors of these units received the award from Lt Gen Surinder Singh, GOC-in-C, Western Command, at an investiture ceremony held at Command Headquarters in Chandimandir on Wednesday.
