184 students awarded at PGGCG-42

Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, organised its 37th annual prize distribution function on the college premises.

As many as 184 students were awarded prizes for excelling in academics and co-curricular activities. In all, 44 students were honoured with the Roll of Honour for academics and 17 each for co-curricular activities and sports and eight students were awarded the College Colour in academics, 21 in co-curricular activities and 41 in sports.

BL Sharma, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, was the chief guest. He congratulated the college and lauded the students for their achievements, appreciating the efforts of the faculty.

Principal Prof Binu Dogra highlighted the achievements of the college for the current session — 110 positions in the university exams, 41 prizes, including 10 first prizes, six second prizes, 18 third prizes and seven individual prizes in the PU Zonal Youth Festival, eight prizes at inter-zonal fest and two prizes at intervarsity youth festival.
