214 take part in Road Safety Week celebrations

The Chandigarh Police is celebrating the 29th Road Safety Week-2018, with the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha’, as part of which a painting competition and face painting competition on road safety was organised by the Chandigarh Traffic Police at Multipurpose Hall, Police Lines, Sector 26, on Wednesday.

In all, 214 students from 22 various government and private schools participated in the competition. The competitions were organised separately for junior and senior wing students.

Out of these students, Sai Vibhuti Chauhan of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, won the I position (senior wing), Kritika Patyal of Moti Ram Arya School, Sector 27, got the II position and Jaspreet Kaur of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23, won the III position.

Whereas in the junior wing, Gauri Sharma of Moti Ram Arya School, Sector 27, got the I position, Swati of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 39, won the II position and Pooja Kumari of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 39, got the III position.

In the face painting competition, Aujasvir of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, got the I position, Aprajita of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, won the II position and Bhavna of SD Public School, Sector 32, got the III position.
