A two-day inter-school programme, ‘Samvidhi – The Legal Conclave’, started at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, on Monday wherein 28 teams from across the tricity are competing against each other in challenging events, including debates and quiz.
The chief guest on the first day was Harjinder Kaur (CCPCR) while the guest of honour was Meenakshi Mehta, Sessions Judge.
Harjinder Kaur commended DPS for hosting the first-ever ‘Legal Conclave’ in the tricity. While giving an insight into child rights and welfare schemes for children, she urged the students to be the ambassadors of justice for City Beautiful.
This conclave is an endeavour to give students a platform and a stimulated environment to get an in-depth knowledge about judicial activism and legal developments in the world.
The day commenced with a fun-filled ice-breaking session, followed by a written preliminary round and visual round of quiz. Top six qualifying teams took parts in the final round. ‘Spin – The Wheel’ – Extempore was the other highlight of the day.
Principal Reema Dewan said that DPS, Chandigarh, is committed to imparting the joy of experiential learning and providing holistic environment and opportunity to the young minds.
