3,000 appear for second phase of TGT exam

The second phase of the written test for filling 196 posts of the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for Punjabi, science (medical), Hindi and English was conducted here today.

The examination was held at six centres and nearly 3,000 candidates took the test. A total of 4,499 candidates had applied for filling the posts and approximately 63 per cent appeared for the written test. The exam was conducted by the Samagra Shiksha with the help of of NITTTR, Sector 26, under the supervision of two PCS/HCS officers of the UT Administration.

Earlier on Saturday, a written test for social studies, science (non-medical) and mathematics was conducted at 16 examination centres. A total of 15,370 applications were received out of which, 10,871 candidates had applied for the posts of these three subjects. The answer key will be uploaded on July 29 on www.recruit.nitttrchd.ac.in.
