308 get prizes at SGGS College-26

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SGGS) in Sector 26 here organised its annual prize distribution function today.
Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, was the chief guest on the occasion. The event was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
In all, 308 students were given prizes for their achievements in the fields of academics, cultural activities and sports. Anmol Uppal was given the Colonel Mahbub Singh Running Trophy for the All-Round Best Student with a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Further, roll of honour and certificates of merit were given to students for achieving university positions in academics; for exceptional achievements in NSS, NCC, cultural activities; and to outstanding student volunteers of the Gurmat Vichar Sabha and the Red Ribbon Club.
