327 PGGC-46 students get degrees

Chandigarh, April 25

The Post Graduate Government College (PGGC), Sector 46, Chandigarh, organised its 34th annual convocation here today.

Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar was the chief guest, Prof Dheeraj Sanghi, Director, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, was the guest of honour.

As many as 327 graduates and postgraduates were awarded degrees by the faculties of arts, commerce and computer applications, including honours degree in arts and commerce. Five roll of honour, eight college colour and 12 merit certificates were awarded to the meritorious students.

Congratulating the students, professor Kumar said graduation was a time of celebration and triumph that marked the end of one phase and the beginning of the next phase. He highlighted the role of youth in the process of nation building. He also lauded the efforts of the faculty, students and other staff members of the college in fulfilling the educational objectives of the college.
