The 10th edition of the three-day Chandigarh art and heritage festival concluded with an immaculate performance of a romantic-comedy play ‘Prem Kabootar’ by artistes of Shri Ram Drama Repertory Company, New Delhi, at Tagore Theatre here on Saturday.

Written by Manav Kaul, veteran actor of seven Bollywood movies, including Gangajal, Jolly LLB 2 and Tumhari Sullu, and directed by Sameep Singh, director repertory, the musical play with innovative theme was organised by the Tagore Theatre society as a part of the heritage fest.

The play was an exploration into the psyche of three young sincere friends in love with the same girl. The actors filled the stage with thrilling actions bringing alive the emotions of joys, sorrows, amazement and at times hatred for each other.

Musical phrase ‘Teri rehmaton ka darya Khawaja’ remained the lifeline in the play. All actors essayed their roles well, but Kunwar Himanshu Tyagi stole the limelight.

Chief guest Uma Shanker, CGM, CITCO, Kamal Arora, CSNA chairman, and KuldipSharma, director, Tagore Theatre, honoured the artistes.
