Aaradhya, Daksh shine in skating c’ship

Aaradhya Papneja claimed the gold medal in the boys’ U-5 quads category on the concluding day of the Manav Mangal Open Skating Championship, organised by Rolling Tigers Club, in Sector 11, on Sunday. 

Daksh claimed the top honour in the boys’ 5 to 7 years quads event after defeating Deepanshu. 

Aeshvi Vashisht claimed the girls’ gold medal. In the girls’ inline event of the same age-group, Jap claimed the first position, followed by Jasleen at second. 

In the boys’ 7 to 9 years quads event, Parth dominated the field, while Ishanvi Shekhar claimed the girls’ gold medal. Hridey Makhija and Divyansh claimed the first two positions, respectively, in the boys’ 7 to 9 years inline category. Nibha claimed the girl's category gold medal.         

In the boys’ 9 to 11 years quads event, Vaibhav claimed the gold medal, while in the girls’event Arynna won the top position. In the boys’ 9 to 11 years inline event, Anay Kaul claimed the gold while Asmi claimed the top position in the girls’ category. In the boys’ 11 to 14 years quads event, Daksh won the first place and Shyran won the top podium position in the girls’ category. 

In the 11 to 14 years inline event, Arshdeep Singh and Arshiya claimed the gold medal in boys and girls category, respectively. Raghav Vashisht claimed the boys’ 14 to 17 years quads event gold and Manika Mahajan won the girls' category. In the boys’ 14 to 17 years inline category, Dhruv Birthal claimed the top spot, while Harshita Makhija shined in the girls’ category.  Rohit Dhillon won the boys’ above 17 years quads event and Aakshita Shourie clinched the top spot in the girls’ category. 

Nanki claimed the girls’ above 17 years inline top spot.  On Saturday, in the boys’ U-9 inline competition, Hridey Makhija bagged the gold medal.  Divyansh Gupta clinched the silver and Paras Bhargav pocketed the bronze medal. Around 200 skaters of the tricity participated in this carnival. The skaters of the Rolling Tigers Club won 20 titles.
