Chandigarh, November 18
Aaryan Singla, Arush Dhawan, Amey Goyal and Bhavesh Mahajan claimed three points each to share the lead in the open U-10 category on the inaugural day of the Learning Paths School Chess Tournament here today.
Chinmay Jagga and Naren Gupta ended the day in second position with 2½ points.
In the boys’ U-14 category, Agaaz Bansal, Pratham Puri, Bhavya Batra and Pratyaksh Goel led the table with three points each.
Shishir Lamba, Ajay Kumar Yadav, Viren Gupta, Jaspreet Singh, Aditya Malhotr, Arsh Gupta, Anmol Rattan and Aryan Arora were bunched together in second place with a total of 2½ points.
In the open U-17 category, Soumiljit Singh Gill, Sangam Kumar, Kashish Kaushal, Jaskeerat Singh and Rishab Verma shared the lead with two points each.
Esh Gupta, Aviral Singla, Deepak Khas, Samanyu Sood, Guranshvir Gill, Karanjit Singh, Manveer Singh and Sarthak Gupta scored a point each to finish in second place.
