Aaryan beats Paras in tennis tourney

Aaryan Chhatwal defeated Paras Chauhan to qualify for the main draw of the boys’ U-16 category in the ongoing STA-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Tennis Tournament at the Chandigarh Club.
Chhatwal won the first set 6-4 but Chauhan bounced back to win the next set 6-2.
In the final set, Chhatwal posted 6-3 victory over his rival. Earlier on Saturday, Veeresh Thakur overcame Shivansh Gupta in the final qualifying round of the boys’ U-14 category. Thakur won the first set 7-6(4) however Gupta fought his way back into the match with a 6-2 win in the second set.
Thakur regained his composure to win the decider 6-3.
In the boys’ U-16 category, Sarthak Gandhi, Pranay Sharma, Ayush Batta and Salil Mahajan also qualified for the main draw round.
