Aashna, Madhav create history
Chandigarh: Aashna Bagri (14) and Madhav Banati (16) became the first pair from India to compete in salsa at the recently concluded Asian Indoor Games at Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Punjab & Haryana HC triumph
Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana High Court has won the All India T20 Cricket Tournament Legal Premier League - 2017. In the final match, the side chased down the 132-run target set by the hosts Delhi High Court with two wickets in hand. Gurdeep Singh Rana was adjudged Man of the Match for claiming four wickets and scoring 32. He was also adjudged the Player of Series for his all round performance. — TNS

Chandigarh: The 4th British School Junior Golf Tournament will be held at the Panchkula Golf Club on October 14. The championship will be held in six different categories, the organisers said, adding that the entry forms would be available at the tournament venue, Chandigarh Golf Club, Chandigarh Golf Range and The British School, Sector 45. Chandigarh: The Sunrise Tennis Academy will organise the STA Open Tennis Tournament for men from October 14 to October 15. The two-day championship will be held at the Chandigarh Club, Sector 1. Paras helps Indus Valley win
Panchkula: Paras claimed a six-for after scoring a solid half-century to help Indus Valley Cricket Academy, Derabassi, beat Mohit Cricket Academy by 100 runs and win the Friendship Cup U-14 on Monday. Batting first, Indus Valley rode on Paras’ 69 to score 159/7 in 30 overs. Anmol Kaushik added 22 runs to the total. For the bowling side, Nitesh Lala claimed 3/42. In reply, Mohit Cricket Academy were all out for 59 runs in 15.5 overs, with Paras claiming 6/12. Vishal Moudgil returned with figures of 3/16. — TNS
